When you experience this problem, check to see if your brake lights are coming on. It could be as simple as a brake light switch malfunction. If the brake lights are functioning as the problem is occurring then you could for example have a problem with the shift interlock solenoid.

If the vents work, top middle, bottom. Most likely the mode door motor is bad. Usually at the center console under the dash. If the fan comes on at all. low or high speed, replace the blower resistor. Located by the blower.

Heater control switch does not add heat; only ambient air

I think it is the actuator/solenoid that is in the middle of the dash at the very bottom of the hvac case (against floorboard). You may have to remove the long plastic cover held in by 7mm screws. The actuator is held in with 5.5mm screws I think. You can remove this and turn it by hand and see if it changes anything.

95 mazda millenia a/c climate control, clock, and outside temp dis

i would just get a used one off ebay. usually you can find the dash with the a/c amp(pushbuttons) and the display for around 40 bucks. they are separate units(display and amp), and are mounted with screws that go into the back of the dash panel. the dash panel is easy to remove, there are 2 anchor screws on either side of the steering column. right side is under a plastic cover, the other is under the rheostat, just carefully pry them out, and you will see the screws. then the whole dash part pops out. you will need to disconnect the harness's that plug into the back of the amp, then it all comes free. it might help to put the steering wheel in the lowest position.

Where do you find the fuel filter on a millenia 2005

in the back. open the trunk, remove the liner that covers the spare tire. you will see a round metal panel. coupla screws. it's under there. if you are going to change it, i STRONGLY recommend you pull out the back seat. actually, all you need to pull is the upper part, but the lower has to come out to get to the upper. then you will have a huge amount of room. otherwise, you can go thru the ski hole, or lie in the trunk, but you wont like it

The (LCD?) display on the top middle of the dash of my 95 Mazda Millenia, which includes clock, outside air temp and interior climate control is not operating. No lights, however, the manual mode and fan...

Unfortunately the only way I can think of to fix this is to actually remove the Information Display(the LCD you are refering to) and check the voltages. This is easy if you are willing to spend the time to remove the dashboard to even reach it. If you do, you will need a volatge meter as well. I do have a reference chart for the voltages if you need it.

You can always take it to the dealer and have them replace it. Or a local mech which I recommended as I hate dealer mechs. Their protocol is to find defective part and replace, NOT repair so ends up being more costly.
