Question about 2004 Pontiac Bonneville
I have a 2004 Pontiac Bonneville and the check engine light keeps coming on. I have taken it to Auto Zone a couple of times and they say it is the gas cap. I have since replaced the gas cap and it was fine for about 10 days then the check engine light came on again. Also, when the light is on, the engine does not seem to hit on all cylinders incessantly. Could this be a transmission problem?
Do you fill the gas tank with the key on?
Try disconnecting the battery for 1/2 hour an then reconnect and drive for 10 miles. It may run rough for this period. This will clear codes from memory.
