Question about 2002 Renault Sportwagon
Good morning guys! I really hope you can help me!! I have a Renault Scenic 2liter, 16 valve 2004 model - card key. When the engine runs it sounds like a diesel. On inspection inside the tappet cover it seems like oil is not being pumped to the camshaft. When the engine runs and one loosens the oil filter slightly it pushes oil out past the seal. Is there a possibility that there is a valve that is blocked or other obstruction somewhere which I should check or...........? Your help will be much appreciated!! Regards Jan
Drain oil and replace with engine oil flush.Run untill normall temperature then drain and Refill with 10/40.Semi synthetic oil and a new filter. It sounds to me that the oil filter has a partial blockage.
