Did you reset the code after you changed the O2 sensor?  If so, what is the code that it is giving you now.  If not, try resetting the code and see what happens.

A FLASHING ENGINE LIGHT INDICATES A MISSFIRE IN THE ENGINE, FORGET AUTOZONE THEY ARE NOT MECHANICS, TAKE IT TO THE DEALER WHERE THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING.

SOURCE: check engine light flash then steady

Your vehicle’s computer system has self-testing capability. When the computer senses that there is a problem with one of the components or sensors it stores the correspondent trouble code(s) in its memory and lights up the "Check Engine" or "Service Engine Soon" light to tell you that there is a problem and you need to diagnosed and repaired it. The list of possible codes number in the hundreds. The code itself doesn't tell exactly what component is defective - it only indicates where to look, or what engine parameter is out of normal range. You or a technician will have to perform further testing to pinpoint cause and the proper repair. If the light is flashing there is a severe failure of the emission-control system that is causing the engine to misfire to the point that the catalytic converter is damaged each time the Check Engine Light flashes. Even if you reset the light, if the underlying problem is not addressed it will come back on.

Dont drive a car with the light flashing. A flashing check engine light means that something is really wrong and you can damage the engine if you drive it.

Flashing check engine light

Any activation of a "checklight" means something has triggered a defect Code. Sometimes a flashing rather than a steady light means the defect is random and the system is building a data base.

You can get free scans at Autozone, Advance, and Oreilys.

When the Check Light Flashes vs: being on steady,
you stop using the vehicle, as that indicates a misfire
bad enough to damage the Exhaust Converter

So obviously, you should have gone to a repair shop
a long time ago & resolved whatever issues are there

I acclerated quickly in my 2003 VW Beetle & the check engine light came on. It's not flashing, just steady. The manuel said the light would go off once the engine idle steadied, but it did not.

that could be an over boost trouble code thrown by the MAP sensor alot of the ford powerstroke trucks do it and sometimes the light comes on and then goes right off other times it will stay on for a few days nothing to really worry about as long as everything is working as it should hope this helps

the flashing check engine light is indicating a misfire. if you can't get it scanned for codes, start with the obvious, check plugs, wires, and coil packs first.
