1989 truck stalls when hot.

Truck runs when cold, but stalls when you give it gas after it warms up.it will start backup when you hold gas peddle to the floor then it sounds like it was flooded.it is throttle body 350 ci,automatic 4x4.it has 160,000.it ran good this fall but ran like **** after it sat for a couple months.i tried dry gas but no difference.cat converter was suggested but has good flow .but maybe it is clogging up when warms up.also suggested was temp sender to the computer, sending wrong info for warm fuel mixtures. I've got a 1989 GMC 1500 with 5.7 EFI will start when cold warm up and die. If you hold the pedal to the floor it will start back up and die. then won't start back up for several hours. changed cap & rotor, fuel pump relay, and Ignition modual.

I agree .. change the fuel filter and check the pump sounds like your issue. But there also could be a vaccum leak so listen for air sounds and hunt it down. That can cause it to stall and run crappy. Also have the throttle body injection area cleaned with the throttle body spray and a brush with vehicle off.

Have you chg. fuel filter? If so, best to do a fuel pressure test, sometimes( not always) when the pump gets warmed up they can loose a little pressure and thats all it takes just a few # under recamended p.s.i and the truck quits running, you may hear the pump run but its not putting out the correct pressure until it cools down and it starts working again, but after a while quit all together.

1991 Ford F-350 runs rough at cold start, dies if gas peddle depressed?

because the combustion inside the engine is going wrong the quantity of air getting inside is not the needed quantity maybe less than or more in cold will cause such problem once the engine warm up than the engine temperature is up you will not find this problem because the point of firing will be near

Wants to stall with lite gas peddle application

You could check and clean throttle body and iac control, see if it helps? Check the throttle position sensor. Does the fuel injector spray pattern look ok?
I would want to check fuel trims, to see if running rich or lean? Any more the 02 sensor is part of a tune-up.
Do you have good engine vacuum at idle? If this a high mileage engine, I'm not sure it will ever run perfect?
I don't know litre size of engine?

4 cyl Engine starts and idles ok...give it throttle and it dies

I need to get a clear mental picture of what exactly is happening.

With this said, you stated that the car "runs fine" until warmed up.

Q: When you start the car when cold it idles fine?
Q: If you allow the car to idle until "fully" warmed does the car stall?
Q: As the car begins to warm up, Does the RPM fluctuate abnormally?
Q: Does the car Only stall when you press on the gas pedal or does it stall just sitting and idling in addition to pressing the gas pedal?
Q: If you can drive it while cold does the car stall during acceleration when warm or only at Stop Signs / Lights?
Q: If you wait 20min or so, can you start the car again?
Q: How many miles are on the car?
