it may not be coming directly from the airbag compartment but it is coming from that side. I didnt think about a relay. Its like a knocking sound and it only does it when i turn the car on. it will stop after it does it 3-4 times.

sounds like a relay clicking. There are a lot of the behind dash. I odn't think this has anything to do with the air bag system.

Why is a ticking noise coming from the rear electric compartment when ignition is on?

Sounds like a Relay is clicking on and off. Put your hand on the relays until you can feel it click on and off. then see what that relay is used for. It's function should be on the cover of the Electrical compartment

Ticking noise appears to be coming from passenger side under dash, slight but annoying rattle

It might be a restricted or dirty blower motor. Is your heater or ac running? If so, turn it off to see if the noise goes away.

My elantra 2013 has developed a clicking noise under the hood.

It could be as simple as a frayed belt hitting as the engine is turning.

First visually inspect the belt.

Then get someone to assist you and rev the car while you listen for the noise under the hood.

A long screwdriver is sometimes helpful if you touch parts of the engine and components while the engine is running (carefully) to see if you can identify where the ticking is coming from.

If it's a valve you ought to be able to hear/feel it through the long screwdriver when you touch the engine valve cover.

make sure engine fluids are properly filled.

also, sometimes it can be a fan component that ticks even after the car shuts off.

What is the fuse number for a 2003 s type jaguar airbag

The airbag system does not depend on a fuse, the power come directly off the ECM, the battery MUST be disconnected when working on the airbag system. The only fuse involved in part of this system is fuse #5 in the passenger compartment fuse box. It should be a 10 AMP mini fuse, red in color and that just protects the occupancy sensor and the passenger airbag de-activation lamp.

I have a clicking noise coming from within the dashboard passenger side which seems to be linked with the climate control unit on the vw polo gti x plate (2000) as certain settings make the ticking...

the polos have a recycle flap motor located on the passenger side behind the glove compartment and a temp. flap motor also located behind the glove box but more towards the center of the dash and near the or both of these motors are probably stuck or slipping on the plastic gears.

Car light will come one inside and out but will not start

does your car have airbags? i think it is new enough to. if it does then i think the clicking sound you hear is from some parts that store electrical power to allow the airbag system to operate in the event of a crash that causes the system to lose connection with the battery. if that is where the noise is coming from and you have never had the airbag light come on on the dash probably that system is working like it's supposed to. you could take the battery to car parts store and have it tested, if it's good then maybe you have a charging system problem. most parts stores can also test alternator, bad alternator will not charge battery so it maybe dead but not bad. hope that helps.
