There is also no fuel smell in the engine, and all the hoses and wires are connected. I have checked all the fuses, none are blown. how can I make my van run. it ran just fine yesterday, drove and stopped multiple times, all was fine, no hesitation in starting. parked it last night and this morning it won't start.

Hi Wayne, what you do is turn the key to the "on" position and back to "off". Do this three times. The engine light will flash. It will flash a certain amount of times, pause, then another set of flashes. The first set of flashes is the first number of your code. The second set is the second number. For example, you see 5 flashes, your first number of your code is 5, and so on.

You have a shorted engine harness, this is not common but it does happen, heat and engine movement cause damage to the harness, this is most common on hi miler cars and vans, the only way to fix it is to start by looking anywhere the harness rubs, that is where the damage occurs.

i can tell you its not the fuel pump.if you smell fuel then the pump is working right, you may have a weak crankshaft sensor though which would keep it from starting and running. but its definately not the fuel pump maybe you have water in your gas

Take it over to a Auto Zone store they advertize that they will read the diagnostic cods for free. with the check engine light on there are codes logged in the cpu. the codes will point you in the direction to go. this will save you lots of time.
