Either the gauge is bad in the dash(test proceedure in a good manual) or you're going to have to drop the gas tank, and put in a new sender. Complicated task!

Sounds like an " OPEN " connection to the sender in the fuel tank, but where that open is, is the question. I would start by checking connectors under car to tank. Hope this helps

You have a bad fuel level sensor. The fuel tank needs to come out and the sensor replaced. You don`t have to replace the pump assembly. You can get the level sensor separate.I`m not sure if the parts stores have it but I know the dealerships do.Hope this helps.Good luck.

I changed the fuel pump on my car and now the fuel gage stays stuck on full. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

Try disconnecting the battery for a minute. If that doesn't straighten it out, you may have to take it apart again. The float might be hung up on something. It may shake itself straight next time you put gas in, too.

Gas gage

It could be the fuel level sending unit is stuck or going out. It's in the gas tank.
