Question about 1997 Ford Explorer AWD
Right after I start off and if I make a turn I get a banging sound sometimes it sounds like the front left hand side other times in the middle of the vehicle. A friend of mine said it sounded like it was in the back. The cv boots look fine, I crawled under and thought maybe it was the drive shaft for the front differential, that one was replaced about a year and a half ago. tried wiggling everything I could get my hands on and everything seems tight. tranny mounts look to be ok. could it be the front hubs? and can I service them the manual says the whole hub has to be replaced and cannot be serviced? any help would be appreciated. thank you
