the car has been sat for 4-5 years and it wont go into gear when running. in neutral the engine runs superb,, i thought about maybe its rusty and jamed wher the clutch thing cums out of the engin,,but i cnt find this? please help....thanx,, dan

- iv bin pumpin the pedal 4eva and still no joy, every pot under bonnet is full,, think i shud strip down and clean from clutch pedal to engine??? thanxMay 30, 2009
- i cant find were the the clutch cums out of engine.im not capeable of splitin clutch but i can get my head round anythink else.were is this cylinder? shud i trace it from pedal??? i realy apreciate your help.. thanx,,danJun 01, 2009

Is the clutch hydraulic or mechavicle? If hyd, ck fluid and pump clutch several times rrimes

- Make sure the clutch is working down at the trans. before you tear it down. might just be a clutch cylinderMay 30, 2009
- The naster cluthch cylinder should be inder the hood, on thr fire. it has a single line comong ou of it and is in line with the pedal. Ck the fliud leve. The fluid goes un a little bottle sitting on the top of it.That is the master cykinder. Iy is eiyjer, low on fluid ,full oh air or defective. the slave cykindr is mounted the back of engune near the cluch are. There is a bleeder nipple you iprn tibleed the starwm. Mster full, open slave bleeder and let the fluid run untul it drips steady. yu can see the air cubble out. Make sure you keep fluid in themaster ctlyser clodt yhe nipple abd tryvvt it, goood luckYes
