Question about 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
My heater will only blow air on the floor, it will not defrost , it does the same with the air. What could be the problem and how do I fix it ? I replaced the blower motor...relay...resistor and a new climate control unit. I can direct the air where I want it. The problem is I turned the knob to hot making sure everything was a go and it is staying hot regardless. I turn the AC on and the air stays hot coming out ogf the vents. Tough to handle in 99 degree weather. Blend door actuator? Tough to replace? 95 chevy silverado 4x4 5.7
For a 95 Chevy Silverado....I replaced the Blend Door Actuator on the passenger side. Just behind the slide out cup holder. Yo ucan acces easily by removing the ash tray piece and the glove box....Or just the glove box and work like hell to get a socket in a tight place.
There are 2 actuators....one controlling the (Mode and Temp 89018681) and the other the (Air Inlet 89018367). I called the dealer and the parts were 85-125. I got it From TBA Auto (local store) for 39.00. A 20 min job at most.
