Question about 2003 Mazda Protege
2003 Mazda Protege Automatic transmission is making noise and slipping, can I drive it 20 miles to a mechanic? I went to back out of my drive way and when I put the car into reverse it sounded like the transmission dropped. I had the transmission rebuilt 2 yrs ago so there should not be problems. When I tried to drive it again it sounded like something was grinding. I am not sure if this is my transmission and am I able to drive it to a mechanic?
If u keep it below 25 miles an hour you should make it, but this loud noise worries me, this noise means something is coming apart, if it does it may lock the trans up, so keep the speed down.
