Question about 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier
I need to reset the system on my 2003 Cavalier. I was told to unhook the cables from the battery for around 5 minutes to do so. I can not figure out how to unhook the cables.
Unhooking the battery won't clear the code it's still stored in the hard set memory go to shcucks and have them scan the computer ask them to see if the codes are cleared if not you can clear them they can't it is an OBDII car once you have cleared the problem drive it and see if it comes back, be sure to get the codes printed out before clearing the codes the mechanic will need them if it comes back, there are hard codes and soft codes soft codes can be reset by unhooking the battery but not hard codes. Don't bother with unhooking the battery.
