Question about 2002 Ford Taurus
I can be driving down the road and my car will stall out all of a sudden with no warning. The car will be running fine and then all of a sudden, it is like someone flips a light switch on and off. The car does not go dead but it stalls like it loses all power for just a moment. All of the lights on the panel come on and stay on for just a few seconds and then go off. The car regains its power and I drive on until it does it again. This does not happen every day but it is so frustrating. I have replace the plugs and wires, two fuel pumps, a fuel filter, a cam sensor, etc... I have spent almost $1,200 and am still having problems. The people at Ford cannot give me any answers to fix the prolbem. could it be something in the inginiton? HELP!!!
Your description sounds like a ignition problem going on. Due to the fact that it starts to stall but stays running. The other two things I would check would be the IAC ( Idle Air Control Valve) and the EGR valve.
