Hi jenny, this sounds like the cable is not positiond right. were your speedo is you need to check cable at the back of it to make sure it is in right, if it is then you need to follow the cable to the gear box and make sure its in tight. if you have done all of these things then your cable in no good need to replace it.

Your Aztek has a blunt cut (no connector) trailer wiring harness tucked away somewhere in the rear. The wires are identified as follows:
BLK - Ground
BRN - park
ORG - RR AUX
YEL - LR stop/turn
DK GRN - RR stop/turn

What would cause fuel gauge to stop working, and tripometer, and odometer to stop working?

I don't know that any one thing would cause these issues.

As for the fuel gauge, you may need to replace the sending unit in the tank.

As for the trip/odometer, you may need to replace the gears.

Spedometer stopped working

If the odometer also does not work, I would check the speed sensor in the transaxle.

Spedometer and trip meter stopped working

You need to replace your speed sensor. It is located on the transmission, usually held in by 1 bolt, and has a wire clip attached. It is usually a easy repair, but sometimes the old speed sensor doesn't want to come out easy.
