Electric seats won't move - Silverado 1500

My seats still are not moving in my Silverado 1500. I have replaced the 25A fuse as recommended. Unfortunately, it did not take care of my problem. Seats won't move. I have noticed as well that I can not roll the window up or down on the passenger side whether attempting from drivers side switch or on the passenger door. Seat heaters will not turn on, on either door. If I remove the 25A fuse, the drivers side window will not go up or down.

Depending on what year truck it is, there is a 40-60amp maxi fuse in the underhood fuse block that can also blow, the harnesses get stuck on the backside of the seat tracks and blow the underhood fuses.

The PDM programing has a issue. You can take it to your dealer and they will fix it for free. It is the PDM (passenger door module)

Why won't electric seats work?

Check the fuses, if those are good and that is a bench seat, test the control, if the control is good replace the electric motor.

Does the electrical motors on Chevrolet Silverado bucket seats have an electric brake that can be adjusted to keep the seats from moving back and forth freely about an inch?

no. this just happens from wear over time. only proper fix is to replace seat track. if the seat is wear you want it and no reason to move you might can put a screw in the track to jam it in place. these tracks are expensive new one option is to check with salvage yard

How do i remove the drivers seat in my 99 chevy silverado? I need to figure out why my seat will not slide back and forth when I pull on the seat adjust lever.

Probablyt because the little wire cable that activates the release mechanisms on both sliders is broken, and therefor only allowing only one slider to release when you activate the seat adjusting lever, and leaving the other one engaged, preventing you from moving your seat. This is relatively easy to diagnose, if you know what to look for... Just try to see what all moves when you press your lever. See if there is a wire cable that is activated anywhere under your seat it should be relativley close to your lever and run across the open space to the opposite slider.

Electric seats in 1999 Siverado move back & forth

the tracks for the seats are pressed out aluminum. they have motors that control the seat adjuster. it seems when worn they will not stay in place and need to be replaced. If anyone that is very overweigh this will create this problem sooner than expected
The seats are made to withstand 250 max. I have sold tracks by GM for 30 years and know personally what they can do in time from weight
(nothing personal)

My seat in my truck (Chevy Silverado 2000)is loose

This sounds like something is broken. When the motor stops, there is a gear that is jambed. So, if you are moving, you need to take it apart and look for broken cables or damaged gears.

do it because it is a safety issue....

Bucket seats with driver 1 and 2 memory and also seat warmer oh and the seat warmer does not work ever since.

Hi I'm not to clued up on 2004 silverado 1500 LT crew cab, obviously you'll check the fuse box & even replace the fuse wouldn't hurt giving it a try. Also try checking the electric motor for the seat. No cables lose or broken? Nothing jamming the seat? Is there any sound at all coming from the area where all the electrics are under the seat? Can you hear a motor straining?Just a few thoughts. Good luck

1999 Chevrolet Silverado power bucket seats both seats move.

The problem is the track. You can find replacement tracks on EBAY for about 180.00 for driver side.
