You may have blown the main fuze, if not then you may have blown a few fuzes check your fuze box and see if all are working, if they are please comment back on here what you did and we can go from there.

My speedomiter quit working. Does my truck have a electronic or cable hookup?

All you have to do is look at the transmission in order to tell.
A cable will be thick and straight, while an electronic unit will use a thin, flexible, wire.

Now speedomiter in my truck.

in a 1998 it should be electronic. if it's a fuse. it is either in the power distribution center in front of the brake master cylinder or in the driver side of the dashboard at the drivers door opening. but my honest guess is the electronic speed sensor on the transmission. go to a auto parts store and they can tell you exactly where it's located.

HI
I had same problem with a 1990 skylark form what I have seen on the net this is problem with the older skylarks. I got one from a junk yard for $45. It was easy to put in. I could have sent the old one out to be fixed but I was told $250-$300. Hope this helps
