Run the fault codes to check for faulty sensors. Have the cat converter checked as it may be cracked and blocking the exhaust at speed.

Your fault need identification after the vehicle is parked for a long time. The nearest possible area of doubt is the condition of the engine. You have not specified the mileage clocked and the regularity of periodic service because if this is done systematically there can be lesser areas to look for in our trouble shooting solution. Hencce to start with your fuel pump, the fuel filter and see if the fuel drains off inthe fuel system when parked for long time. If so identify whether it is in the fuel system or the pump. If fuel seems fine, the engine compression, valve setttings must be in order for a quick start. If this shows good reading, asssesment of the compression of each cylinder by a test of the pressure of air exhausting in each of the cylinders is good. If this looks ok then check on the to the actuator or the auto choke valve. If possible drain off/ run off your fuel and try a different higher grade. I have the feeling that the fault could be the firing or the fuel both of which you can check on alternate days before starting( for petrol check your plugs, your HT coils or replace, for diesel check your glow plugs and replace if bad or worn out ). Hope I could assist. Good day

OVP, MAF and have duty cycle set.

OVP's (Over Voltage Protection relay) are known issues in these cars.

Where is the fuel filter on a 1990 mercedes 300ce

Fuel filter is by the fuel pumps under rear passenger side of car. There is a plastic cover there. Also Look into your coil being bad, also wires, plugs cap and rotor. Ignition issues also can be caused by the OVP relay, the box with a fuse in it by the battery.

I have a mercedes 300 e when you push the puddle down it does not wont to take gas

Check the fuel pump(S). If memory serves the fuel pumps are in tandem in plastic box on the underside beneath the near side passenger seat. Even though the box keeps most of the elements at bay corrosion will eventually have its effect. First check the fuses and the also the OVP relay unit fuse. The OVP sits behind the battery and is in a 6cm x 6cm x 10cm black box. The lid lifts off and beneath it there is a clear plastic hinged door within which is a 10Amp spade type fuse. I mention this as on some models power is supplied to the fuel pump via the Over Voltage Protection relay. If all looks OK check that no vacuum pipes coming off the intake manifold have come loose and that there are no other possible sources of air leak. If everything OK it is time to get under and look at the pump(s) and the fuel filter which sits along side it. Check power supply. Overhaul pump and replace fuel filter as appropriate.

engine wiring harness upper and lower could be degraded, coil could be bad, throttle positioner, fuel distributor could be bad and depending if its a half year car and you have an OVP that could be bad. Also after a full tune up have someone adjust the duty cycle.
