thanks, not exactly what i was looking for, it is going into a dodge sprinter camper (12V neg grnd.) I know enough to put in a fuse, and where to get 12 volts from.....just need to know how to wire the switch, (it has 6 wires going to it, and what wires to connect to the seat heater wiring harness....i need to get the heated seat wiring diagram for an 06 odyssey, thats what I'm looking for.....I found the switch has 4 grounds on the 6 contacts, and the hot part is either on the low, or high side of the switch....if I had an odyssey, i would purchase the electrical book,   but can't see spending $50 since I just need the wiring diagram for the seat......I just have an odyssey seat,  not the van....ideas ?? g. huser

as what you want to do is bit not easily posible.but i m not saying its impossible, because just connecting the heat switches wires to heated seat.this will not work.from where you will get the current for the heat switch to work and pass current to heat seat.as in car there is 12 voly battery to give this current to the heat switch.but in your case where is the battery.and you cannot directly connect the heatt switch terminals to electric power outlet as it will give you 220 volt current.and that is too much current then required.so you will require the battery the fuse and the heat switch and the heatead seat.the two you have and the other two are not there.Basically 4 wires, 2 going from the 2 seats to the fuse box and the other 2 go from the seats to the center console where the power from battery is given to heated switches are.  --------------------- the connection will be as follows ----- the 1 wire from heat switch will be connected to battery .one wire from battery will be connected to the one end of the fuse and the other end of fuse will be connected to the heat seat and the other of heat seat will be connected to the the heat switch.if your connection is bit over or low or faulty the fuse will blow.that means there is some mistake.the fuse is just $1 part.so keep some fuses in spare if any problem occurs. ---------------this is bt hard job to perform so get it done by proper professional electric mechanic.as he will get all the connectios done right.you keep all the connections written with you.for neext time. this will help you. thanks.please rate the solution.

I need to remove and replace a 2004 Honda Odyssey drivers seat. (power). My manual says I need a 'seat removal tool'. What is this and how do I get one?

You don't need any special tools to remove driver's seat. Only you have to do is to disconect battery at least 3 min. before disconecting cables from underseat wires. Seat is mounted to the floor with four bolts.

O2 sensor wire identification

I have some info for you. First, you can get a wiring diagram FREE at Autozone.com by registering your vehicle. This should help you find the heat wire.

Next, you need to find out if your individual O2 system uses a vented wire casing for heat removal. Some manufacturers will make one of the wires vent off the excess heat generated by the internal heater in the O2.

I can not say what you should see, just read that sometimes people try to adapt a different O2 to the harness. They want to switch wires to a different prong in the plug harness to make Brand X sensor work. You are trying to recreate your wire harness with liquid plastic and may therefore be headed for failure by sealing the ventilation system,IF you have this type of system.

You may be able to obtain a harness from a Salvage yard. If your local places do not have it, try Car-parts.com which is a Nationwide Salvage listing service which ships to your door.

You may, by putting the time in the internet, find the ventilated wiring system articles I am warning about for yourself for applications. I hope my response is helpful. You may be able to also obtain a better heat shield within a Salvage yard. Whatever you use, heat resistant manifold paint would prolong the replacement shield.

Heated & a/c seats on 02 Lincoln Navigator - how do I repair them or where in KC area can I get them repaired at a reasonable price?

Take a trip to a Salvage yard for the Air-ride pump. Check out the heat elements on seats while you are there too. You can get some chassis wiring diagrams online at Autozone.com. They are free when you register your vehicle on their site.

Sometimes you can unplug the seat connectors and run an Ohms test on the seat heating elements. This way, if the loop for the heating element is intact, the seat probably is not getting power. Then switch to a voltmeter and test the power feed on the detached, uncoupled switch side of the connection. You should have power to the connector, but remember to have the car running to have the power available to the connector.

I have a Honda accord 2.4 exec on an 03 plate. The heated seat switch lights on bothe seats but neither get warm. Is there a relay that needs replacing? any help would be appreciated.

According to the factory wiring diagram for a 2002 Honda Odyssey, the seat heater switch hi/low indicator lights won't light up unless the seat heater relay is good. The seat heaters have thermostats and circuit breakers that limit power to the seat heaters under the following conditions:

Thermostats: On below 93F and off above 109F

Circuit breakers: On below 86F and off above 122F

The breakers operate in series with the thermostats and serve as backups to faulty thermostats.
