How to replace a front wheel bearing on a 1995 toyota surf

I do not know but I ended up have to get a replacement wheel assembly on my Toyota Corolla. I replaced the wheel bearing it self 3 times in 6 months. Do not know if the assembly was damaged when the inner race was pressed out / in.

Make sure you know what you are doing and use a very reputable machine shop that has experience with Toyota wheel bearings.

Best, Jim

Rear wheel bearing replacing

This is a bit of a messy job, but fairly easy. First, you'll want to locate or purchase a repair manual for your vehicle (CHILTON is best). If these are not pressed in, then you can do this at home. If they are, a mechanic will be your best bet unless you know someone with the right tools who can help you, or do this for you.

Visit your local auto parts dealer to determine if these are pressed in, or if they are external (loose fit) bearings.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Yes and no... The most common problem in the bottom end is with cylinder number 1. It gets oil starved. This is in the 3sgte. Not sure what motor you have. You can change the bearing without taking out the engine....But you will have to drop the sub frame and oil pan. Problem is, is that you dont know if the crank needs reground and or resized. Or if the rod is bad and ovaled. The bearings wont fit.... you can replace the bad bearings.YES! But how long will it last since it wasnt done correctly? Best case. If there is no damage to the crank and rod? Sure it can last a long time with the rite size bearings. But chances are the rod is bad, the crank needs reground/ or its bent it will need machined. good luck

1996 Camry, 150k. Engine bearings showing beginning wear-and-tear signs (shards in oil pan). Can these be replaced, or is another engine the only option?

These can be replaced. In a worse case scenario they can be replaced with the engine installed although extensive disassembly is required to include cylinder head removal. You will want to have the Crank turned and all connecting rods and make sure they are done at the same time by the same servicer. This is to ensure that you get the proper Connecting rod and Journal and main bearings.

Conrod bearings need to be replaced in the engine that is 3y engine model for hilux and i want to know whether any adjustments needs to be done after installing the bearings

If the bearings need replacing the crankshaft will need grinding. After the crank has been ground you will have to buy suitable main and conrod bearings EG: 10thou undersize.
After fitting new bearings to the reground crank no adjustment is necessary.

Front brake rotors 1995 toyota 4runner

If you have 6 bolts going around the center (manual lock in/lock out) hub, you are going to be there a while. The center hub needs to come off, and ALL of the internal wheel bearings need to come out. The whole locking hub must be removed in order get the rotor off. This is NOT an easy job, and you need a special tool to loosen/tightem the wheel bearings. Figure 2 hrs per side if you have all of the proper tools & skill level.
