It depends on where it is leaking if the leak is coming from a hose that is connected to the pump assembly, this will be the correct solution but, if the leak is coming from the actual pump it self, you will need to replace the pump in this case.

It can be tough on some engines to replace the hoses(pipes) but, its mostly a moderate job. not easy but, not to hard.

2004 Hyundai Santa Fe - power steering fluid leak. Can't identify the hose or metal piping the leak is coming from. Not sure if I need to replace the pump as well. Would like to see a diagram of it....

Not with a diagram. Clean all the hoses and the pump so that everything is easy to see. Start the engine and get someone to put a little pressure on he steering. You should be able to find the leek.

I have a toyota celica vvti 2000 plate and the power steerings failed. all fluid has leeked out of a split hose or broken seel but cant see exactly where it coming from.its also been freezing cold over the...

It's probably a hose but the only way to know for sure is to clean it up, put a little power steering fluid in, start it up and see where it leaks. I've never known of a P/S hose to freeze and break. The hose should be available from any auto parts store. I;m not familiar with that particular car, but it shouldn't be that hard to replace. If the is pump leaking, take it to a mechanic.
