'88 Camry Power Windows and Locks Won't Work

I have a 1988 Toyota Camry. The windows and locks don't work, I've tested continuity on the master switch(es) and they seem to be good. I have a wiring diagram that says there is a 30 amp circuit breaker that controls the master switch but I can't find it. Where would this be located? What would be the best way to fix this?

There was a recall for 88 Camry's because of the door locks. Call a local dealer to see if your car has been seen about it yet, if not they must fix it. The recall said the locks will lock on their own one day which could pin someone in the car.

If you have continuity to the master switch the relay & breaker will be working just fine. Continuity tells me 12 volt current is passing thru as you put it. Check the switches to each window. The main circuit inside the switch may have a short in it

You need to see a wiring diagram to see how the ignition switch allows or sends power to that 30 amp fuse. The switch may turn on a relay (maybe the ignition relay) that sends power to the fuse panel. Or the run wire out of the switch may itself turn power on at the fuses. You may have a loose connection behind the fuse panel.
Get a test light, pull the fuse, and check for power at the fuse terminals, with key on. One terminal for the fuse should have power. If not, power is lost between the ignition switch and that fuse. If it does have power, and windows still don't work, check the wire from fuse panel to the master switch-loose or poor connections, maybe a partially broken wire. If it looks good, check the ground wire for the windows. The ground wire originates at the master switch and will go back into the cabin to a nearby ground, possibly behind the left kick panel. If still no help, someone may need a volt- ohmmeter to start checking continuity of wires, voltage drops, etc.

Ecectric windows and locks will not work

POWER WINDOWS AND LOCKS
Window fuse's and relay's may be up under driver or passenger side dash or behind glove box, under the hood and even under the seats, and finally on the ends of the dash. All passenger power windows and locks are controlled thru and get power from the master control switch on the drivers door.

I have a 2001 camry the power windows quit working but the locks do

Hi,
This is usually cause through a central switch system which is the master window control on the drivers side.
Have the drivers window control assembly checked and tested, it may need replacing.
Thanks

What could cause my power locks and windows to not work replaced master control window switch Thanks

You may have blown the Power lock & window fuses when you replaced the master control window switch. Go to fuse box and check for blown fuses. Be sure to replace with same value of fuse.
