I have a 3.4 that misses.i have had the coil module checked and it was good.i checked compression,150.i changed plugs and wires and one coil, still got a miss. it helped but did not fix. mine also skips or floods i think,it does it on only the driver side but all three cylinders, cold or hot,but will run good not right after it warms up if you switch it off for about a min or two,or hold it to the floor and let it run past 4500 rpms.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Have the module tested, and do a compression test to make sure its not a weak cylinder due to low compression, this car is listed here as a 1995 camaro which cant be but make no diffrence, remove module and test if it low compression then i would do a motor vac, this is a fuel system cleaning and decarbonizing, i ve had a few that other shop told them that motor neede rebuilding , itold customer to try a motor vac and it worked it had carbon build up on the valves keeping one cylinders valves from closing all the way. if driven too long the valves will get brunt and then its $$, hope this helps.
Are you getting spark? If not, check if the distributor is turning when cranking the engine. If it is, check for power at the coil, if you've got power at coil it probably the ign module. Common on those years. If you have spark and good fuel pressure check compression. One small possiblily is the coolant temp sensor is bad causing the injectors to flood the engine, in which case you can hold the gas pedal to the floor while cranking to turn off the injectors. Good luck!
Ok heres the deal I have seen literally thousand of people who try just what you did. But forget the most overlooked things, the fuel injectors they wear out and plug up You need to have them professionally pressure cleaned and you're going to wanna actually see them do this with your own two eyes cause them may just pour some cleaner in the tank and say they did it or they will run the cleaner in the intake through a vacuum line which WILL NOT CLEAN THE INJECTORS it will though clean the intake manifold runners and valves. What you need is to go straight into thefuel rail and I recommedndBG fuel System Cleaner it's so good it's scary The SEcond thing is chck to make sure you do not have a dead injector, sometimes an ohms test wll prove this do one test with the car stone cold and another after its warmed up. See if there is a big difference contact me and Ill give you the specs ok. The last thing is the Intake manifold gaskets they get sucked in on the 3.4s a smoke machine is the most effective way to find a vacuum leak these days s shop could charg you $100. for a smoke test but its better than carb cleaner and a fire ball Here are my credentals; Former owner of Ace Automotive Diagnostic Shop in lakewood Wa 14 years Author of www.aceautomotive1.com ASE certified in brakes, Suspension,Steering, engine performance and I have an L-1 advanced diagnostic certification ASE Please take the time to visit the web site and check out the FAQ and BLOG it's free and there are so many answers there of things I have actually first hand experienced and fixed.
