The problem is fixed. I unpluged the brake panel and fiddled with the wires and it began to work. I just have to secure it a bit so it won't happen again.
Thank you! Thanks Fixya and Da Saint

You've got a broken or disconnected wire somewhere. Get a multimeter & check you have voltage on both sides of the fuse. If that's good you know you've got juice running out to the tail light. Remove the bulb & check for voltage in the socket. Chances are you have 20 years of corrosion behind the socket & it's dirty. Either way, you problem is a disconnected or corroded wire.

That happened in my 1999 Buicke Century. Replaced the bulb 4 times kept burning out all within a week. Finally replaced the blinker socket and no more issues.
The turn signals and brake lights use the same circuit and filament in the bulbs. The tail lights are on the other circuit which comes from the headlight switch. Do you have power on the tail light fuse ?
There are 4 bulbs back there, is it the brake light? All those bulbs are very easy to change. When you take out the holder it will actually tell you what bulb you need, readily available at any parts store.
Replace the turn signal switch. Bad contact inside causing a crossing of the circuits. When the turn signal is applied it should open the brake light circuit allowing for just the signal to work. Doesn't sound like the switch is doing it's job.
most rear tail lights and turn/stop lights are the same dual filiment bulb. it is possible for your tail light to work and your brake light not to and still have a bad bulb. I would check the bulb first, your brake light works on the left yes? this would mean that the fuse is fine
There is a fuse box on either side of the driver and passenger footwells, and a small fuse box in the centre console. But if the taillights don't work, its probably just bulbs to replace
i had a similar problem. i thought i was buying the correct bulb at an auto store. Turned out, i needed to by the bulb directly from Jaguar as they are slightly different
