Question about 1994 Chevrolet K2500
Hi...today i decided to wash my engine.....and i covered evrything and sprayed evrything with this "gunk heavy duty engine degreaser" which sucks by the way,.....
but since my trucks engine is kinda hard to get around it to brush certain areas.....i took the valve covers off..........to clean both the inside and the outside.........and i noticed that there is a bunch of sludge build up in the valve area.......
and i was wondering is it safe if i spray the valves and the area in general with the engine degreaser?
after i am done cleaning....just before i put the covers back on i will pour a little oil on them to protect them...for if i took vital oil out....
Don;t pour that on the valve train! They make an internal engine degreaser that you add to the oil the last 100 miles before an oil change to get rid of that sludge. If you have alot of sludge you need to change oil more often.
