99 Suburban wont start

My 99 Suburban wont start.I have been having trouble with it for a while.Every morning I would need to get it jump started to get it going for the day.I changed cap & rotor, left old wire & plugs on & it started fine with no proublem, then I changed wires & plugs when I went to start it again it didnt want to start,I gave it a jump & it started but not right away. The next morning I went out to get it started & it wouldent start. It turns the engine over till it kills the battery. My 99 GMC Sub 5.7. won't start unless I use starting spray. then it runs like a champ. I have tested the pressure from the pump and it reads well. Any ideas? thanks.

I could hear the humming but just bearly. I wonder if that is enough. If it is the pump, would it run great once started?

This sounds like you have a problem with the electric fuel pump sticking, that would be where i would look, when u turn the key on with the windows up do u hear a humming noise for about 3 seconds? if not the fuel pump is the problem.

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY 1999 GMC YUKON WITH THE 5.7 ENGINE HAVING TO JUMP START ALL THE TIME TO GET IT RUNNING, THE PROBLEM WITH MINE WAS THE FUEL PUMP HAD TO BE REPLACED, EVEN WHEN I REMOVED THE PUMP AND TURNED THE KEY FUEL PUMPED OUT BUT WAS NOT ENOUGH PRESSURE TO GET AND KEEP THE ENGINE RUNNING.I ALSO TRIED STARTER FLUID, THE ENGINE WOULD RUN UNTIL THE FLUID BURNED OFF.SO THE SOLUTION FOR MY TRUCK WAS THE FUEL PUMP AND NOW ITS STARTING LIKE A CHAMP

It may be the park interlock switch. Try taking it out of park and putting back or try the neutral position if it starts you may have to replace switch. Hope this helps.
