Question about 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe
I TOO PUSH THE BUTTON ON MY AC AND NOTHING WORKS.I WONDER IF THE DIODE IN THE FUSE BOX COULD HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS PROBLEM?OR HOW DO I TEST THE BUTTON TO CONFIRM THAT THIS IS THE PROBLEM?
Your problem could be caused by MANY things/components. Example, if there is LOW pressure in the AC system, it will not work. Blown AC compressor magnetic clutch fuse, (does this Santa Fe have FULL AUTO AC or Manual?). If the evaporator Thermostatic Switch is malfunctioning, the AC will not work.. if the AC compressor clutch relay is broken, the AC will not work, if the coolant temperature sensor is malfunctioning and telling the ECU (engine control unit) the temp is above 240 degrees, the AC will not work, etc. Here's a first step, go to http://www.hmaservice.com/ and register. You will find gobs and gobs of technical info on your vehicle -- more than you probably want to know.
