Question about 1991 Honda Accord

Headlights not working...sometimes

93 Honda Accord. Sometimes my DRL do not work. It seems that when they're not working my high beams also will not work. It seems very sporadic. Of course they typically work ok but just took the car in for a safety and they wouldn't work. I've been told that the issue has to be looked at one wire at a time....that could get costly. Hoping to utilize your expertise. Thanks!

What has happened here is the drl module has a bad ground circuit in the module.replacement of the module is probably the easiest repair but could be costly for the module.Over time and road conditions the soldered ground circuit in the module has cracked causing an intermittent lose of ground making the lights inop. You can try to resolder the ground or replace the module

most models it's located right hand side of steering column way up high under the dash.it's a gray looking flat square box with multiple wire connector coming out of it.

Daytime running lights not working

Assuming this is an LX, check 7.5A fuses 9 and 5 in the driver's underdash fuse/relay box. Fuse 9 applies power to the DRL indicator light in the gauge assembly which connects to the DRL control unit. Fuse 5 supplies power to the DRL control unit when the ignition is on. Also check 100A fuse 41 in the underhood fuse/relay box which supplies power to the headlight relays. Setting the headlight switch to HEAD causes the headlight relays to close and apply power through 20A fuses 45 and 43 in the underhood fuse/relay box to the low beams. Low beam power also passes through the DRL diode to close the high beam cut relay and prevent high beam use during DRL operation.

Drl starts buzzing right headlight does not come on

the buzzing is the relay driven by the daytime running light module.
the module is under the left side of the dash by the fuse box,but above it and more to the middle.right above your left knee about 8 inches or so.

2003 Honda Civic headlights are malfunctioning. DRL buzzing and high and low beams sometimes either work.

IT COULD BE A SHORT CIRCUIT OR SOMETHING ELSE DRANING THE POWER GOING TO THE HEADLIGHTS.

No headlights

You need to start by checking the fuse for your headlights (low beams). The DRL could be be bad, but I have not seen them go out very often.

Both Headlights Work On Lowbeam But Not On Highbeam.

First identify if your day running lights (DRL) are working. The DRL and high beams will work on the same relay. If your DRL are working, but not your high beams, you may need to replace your high beam relay which is found in the fuse panel under the hood of the engine at the right back corner; near the firewall, and passenger tire strut mount. If there is also a problem with your DRL with the high beams, its likely the DRL relay which can be found tucked under the dash.

There's usually a cover that says "relays", "fuses", etc. Lift the cover and look underneath, it should label the relays. If not, consult a manual or repair book. Try swapping similar relays from know working accessories if you don't have a new one handy.

DRL and High Beam do not work right on Honda Accord EX 1998

Some time back I found some data on a similar website suggesting that the Day Light Running circuit board, just under the steering column, developed cracks in some of the soldered joints. Your high beams should also be affected with loss of day light running lights.
Resoldering repaired the continuity of the circuits. Ours is now working quite reliably. Some of the defective areas developed slight brownish discoloration, that's how I was told to recognise the areas to be resoldered. Hope this will help you solve your problem.
