Car will not start 1.416v polo yr 2000 old shape

Car used to stall when slowing down but now it will not start.. did start with quick start so garage thought it was a fuel problem and changed fuel filter. nxt day wouldnt start again.I called a diagnostics guy who supposed to have top equipment. he said there is no power to the injectors at all and said it could be a number of reasons like aerial behind key barrell. immmobiliser, alarm or crank sensor thats stopping the fuel. i called a mechanic who was recommended and he said i need an auto electrician and recommended one but said he wasnt cheap though im hesitant to call him just incase he tells me the same as the first diagnostics guy.All i want is a diagnosis i cant keep paying to try different things im desperate to know what the problem is. I see on forums a lot of people having the same problem but nobody can give a deffinate answer or know of any common faults. Why??

Occasional stalling and idle issues

Sounds like yr idle is to slow. most cars idle around 650 - 750 revs, increase idle. Usually a screw or nut turn does the job. Or yr a spark plug could be shot, if old replace them all, or petrol pump playing up, check wiring connection at tank- with power turned off, no sparking in case of petrol leak.

since it is a 2000 there is no distributor. it sounds like you need to go to your local auto parts store and buy a fuel filter and good ol can of seafoam. your fuel injectors may be dirty.p.s. install fuel filter after seafoam ;) thats the trickp.p.s. dont do it in a garage-youll probably kill yourself. it will smoke some :)

First- lets change engine coolant sensor/ECT/ and you will be very surprised.Black head with four pins.Be very carefull when change it because there is pressure into coolant system.First-open slowly the cap of engine coolant tank. Then tighten again to safe coolant.Unplug the sensor, remove the pin and pull out the sensor. If the "O"ring/old one/ is still inside-take it out.

My vw polo keeps cutting out. when it slows down

try cleaning your battery terminals and tightening them. if that doesnt solve the problem your battery or alternator may be dying, some auto parts stores will do a charging system check for free that will tell you if one or the other is bad.

Car stalls while slowing or stopping

I've had vehicles that have done this in the past. In the meantime, try to get used to using two feet at the same time (one on the gas and one on the break) to keep the RPMs up while slowing down. It's just a temporary fix, and not recommended that you continue to drive like that.

When you have a chance, get a mechanic to adjust the timing 'UP' a tad so it won't stall out.

If the vehicle is at a timing where it SHOULD be, then raising it to fix this problem will also be temporary until the problem can be diagnosed fully.

After all, however, it is an old cheapy right? These are just quick fixes.

1996 Camry 100 km stalling

You have one of two very common problems.
Number one may be a stuck open EGR valve
Number two would be a failing Idle Air Control valve (IAC).
Try this: Open the hood & locate the EGR valve, close to the firewall, behind the intake. Find & take with you a small hammer. The next time that it happens, open the hood & tap on the EGR valve. If it is sticking "open" the tapping may dislodge the carbon particles that are keeping it open. When the EGR valve is open, exhaust is getting into the intake at idle, and this will def stall out the car.
There is no repair to the IAC valve, it would need to be replaced if it is bad.
One of these two scenarios will cure your problem, I see it every day.
