It seems to occur above 40 mph or under a load, intermittently.

There are to many things that can cause the miss fire and when does it happen?? During acceleration or idle. Here is a link for you to retrive the DTC codes and hope this will add some light to the end of the tunnel. http://www.troublecodes.net/GM
Good luck and keep me posted. Did you try cleaning your MAF which can cause miss fire if your engine is running to lean.

Check your EGR, a leaky EGR valve can cause miss fire. Remove the EGR valve and clean out with carb cleaner to remove the carbon built up in it. Change the fuel filter and add some fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank to clean out the injector. This should cover most of the major things to look for other then getting to the harder things.

Just trying to keep it simple.

Hi, this is a 2 wire Delco alternator. The wire from the terminal on the back goes to the battery or starter, and the other (excite) wire goes to the battery light in the dash. It also goes to the PCM--not sure which pin, sorry.

1999 V6 CAMARO 3.8 LITRE ENGINE STALLING PROBLEMS AND LACK OF POWER. HAVE ALREADY REPLACED ALL THREE COIL PACKS, SPARK PLUGS, SPARK PLUG WIRES, FUEL RAIL, WITH ALL FUEL INJECTORS AND HAD CATALYTIC...

with all of these replacement parts done, you have one of two things I can think of.
The computer can cause this and not show up on and equipment,I seen it happen,it a chance you would have to decide to take.
the other it would have to be mechanical something with your engine itself that is not showing yet.

generally if it is a sensor you should be able to retrieve a fault code. Other things to chek, timing, vacuum leaks, EGR. valve, fuel filter, plugged injectors, spark plug ( gap ), lead wires, distributor cap, rotor.Hope that this will help you. Good luck and remember to rate all replies you get. Thanx.
