Question about 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 4WD
Had u joints replaced on front end of 1998 dodge ram 1500 v8 mag about a week ago .now have trans leak on front right tire and was wondering if this has anything to do with the first repair.i know nothing about trucks or cars.i just paid $730.00 for u joints and tune up,now i have to get a price on a trans fluid leak coming from the passenger side front tire.my question is could the repairman caused this when he repaired truck the first time?
I just replaced my front ujoint for the 2nd time and yes when you pull the outer axle to replace the u joint and then reinstall the axle it seems to dislodge or screw up the seal. the 1st time i had a shop do it and they fixed the seal but now its on me

IS IT ATF OR GEAR LUBE?? IF ITS GEAR LUBE IS TUBE SEALS IN THE AXLES & THAT WOULD NOT BE RELATED TO THE FRONT DRIVESHAFT U-JOINTS IF ITS ATF( IM ASSUMING ITS AN AUTOMATIC TRANS) I WOULD GUESS A COOLER LINE & THATS NOT RELATED EITHER
