Question about 1990 Toyota Pickup

Original Tire Size

I have a 1990 shortbed toyota pickup that now has p235 60 R15 tires on it. I want to change the tires back to what they should be, but I don't know what size that would be? I am guessing 195/75/14? Does anyone know? Also, will any 14" 5 lug rim work on this vehicle, or is it more complicated than that?

There was options to the different size that your pick up came with from the factory. Go to www.tirerack.com and they should have all the information you need to help you out on to what size tire you'ld like on your Pick up and what was the original.
Good luck and hope this helps. When you log on to tire rack, go to shop by Vehicle.

Tire size 65r16 diameter 215

No, not well. The rolling radius is bigger and will make your speedo read 5.5% slower than you are really going.

A 215/55 R16 is within a 1% match (0.7%) but will give a harsh ride. A 215/60 R15 will make your speedo read 2.5% slower than actual, not too bad, and it will ride better.

My car tires were the standard size P185 65 R14. They were recently changed to P185 60 R15. Will this cause any problems on this car?

Original tire
Sidewall: 4.73 in
Radius: 11.73 in
Diameter: 23.47 in
Circumf: 73.73 in
Revs/mile: 859.37
New Tire
Sidewall: 4.37 in
Radius: 11.87 in
Diameter: 23.74 in
Circumf: 74.58 in
Revs/mile: 849.54

Speedometer reading with new tire is 1.16% too slow.
When your speedometer is reading 60mph you are actually traveling 60.69mph.

I have a 2005 nissan sentra. Tire size is 195/60 R15. I have the chance to get 2 195/65 R15 tires at a good price, and want to put them on the back, keeping the 195/60's on the front. Will this be OK? Some...

Hi!

195(width in mm)/60(sidewall height in % of width) R15(rim diameter)

This means, a 195/60 R15 rides lower than a 195/65 R15 tire. Imagine how it would look like when you put these different tire sizes on one car. It can be done but the car will be unbalanced both mechanically and aesthetically. Remember, your car was not designed for different front and rear tire sizes unlike some sports cars.

A 2005 model will most like come standard with ABS as with most cars produced year 2001 onwards.
Just buy 1 tire size for your car. If you wish to change to another tire size, change all the tires.

Good luck!

I have a 2007 Toyota Corolla, and I've lost one of the wheel covers. What size is the tire, typically, so I can search for a replacement? thanks.

If you look on the side of the tires you will find the tire size. It will be similar to 185/70R15. The R15 refers to the rim size which is 15 inches in this case.

What size tires a jimmy needs?

Owners manual has the answer. Also on either the door column or inside the fuel door should be a list of original and options tire sizes. Look at the present tires. They are all marked as to their rim size, and dimensions. Probably LT235/75 R15 if they are original now.

I'm not sure if my tire fit on my car,not the same size...

Even though you should always have a matched set, the size difference is about 1.33% smaller or around an inch and a half, total diameter. Just keep that tire in the rear so the drive wheels are the same size and you should be fine.
