Re: Dash light won't stop flashing 1 mpg what could this...
I don't have my manual with me but that is a self-set speed warning. Essentially, you can set an "alarm" to go on when your car reaches a set speed...to alert yourself that you should slow down. To reset the speed alarm, go to the desired speed and hold down the "check" button. Otherwise, just look it up in your manual. It's fairly easy to fix....

When the driver has been driving for any period of time longer than 1 hour, each subsequent hour (2:00 hours) pops up on the dashboard information screen notifying the driver for driving consecutively for 2 hours.
To get rid of this flashing 2:00, simply press up or down on the end of the window wiper buttons, where you could normally search through the mpg, avg. speed, etc.
cant remember properly but i think you hold the trip meter switch in and then turn ignition to accessory ,and still hold it down then turn to ignition and something flashes on dash and you go through sequence using the radio volume button on the steering wheel .well something like that
The most likely cause is a faulty oil pressure switch as there are up to 3 fitted get it checked ASAP could be low oil pressure!!
I take it this is the oil light flashing not "oil" in the dash insert ?
This is the indicator for ESP (stability control). If you look on your dash, you'll see a button with, you guessed it, ESP written on it. This allows you to turn your stability control on and off. If your light is on constantly, try pushing the ESP button. If it flashes on and off (ie during hard driving) this simply means it is working.
Hi A J Mae,
Do you mean the traffic indicators,( turn signals) or do you mean the dash board indicator lamps? If it's the dash warning lamp indicators, they work on a fail safe system, when you turn the ignition on before the start position, all the lights will come on untill start up and ten they will go off automatically within a second or two....if they stay on with the engine runnig you have a problem we have not covered here.
That will be your hazard warning switch, the one that will be flashing on the dash with a triangle showing on it....If that doesn't do it it'll be something to do with the anti theft device...get out of the car lock all the doors and then press the button on the key fob
