Question about 1998 Volvo V70

Emission Warning Light came on and misfore

1998 V70 emission warning light problem: Check Engine (fault in emission control system) light came on and I experienced that one of (five) the valve has misfire and so the power, specially when I move the car after a full stop (or slowing it to 10-20 mph speed as well as between 50 to 65 mph movement). Looks like I need new spark plugs (tune up) or the power cable is bad. If anybody has any idea what it is? Thanks in advance.

P0441 what dose it mean and how can I fix it .toyota camery le 1998model

P0441 1998 Toyota Camry - Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow

When is the code detected? Pressure in charcoal canister and fuel tank does not drop during purge control (2 trip detection logic).

Possible symptoms: - Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Possible a noticeable fuel odor caused by the release of fuel vapors

P0441 1998 Toyota Camry Description: The Engine Control Module (ECM) tests the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) system for the following conditions:
- Large and small leaks

- Excess vacuum

- Purge flow during non-commanded conditions

- Fuel Level and Fuel Pressure sensor faults

- EVAP Purge and Vent Valve faults

The ECM monitors the Fuel Tank Pressure sensor in order to determine the level of vacuum/pressure in the EVAP system. The ECM commands both the EVAP Purge Solenoid and the EVAP Vent Valve ON when the conditions are met in order to apply an engine vacuum to the EVAP system. The ECM commands the EVAP Purge Solenoid OFF once the system has reached a predetermined level of vacuum. This test verifies if a vacuum can be achieved in the EVAP system. Failure to develop a vacuum may be caused by a large leak or a restriction.

- Fuel filler cap remains open or fails to close
- Foreign matter caught in fuel filler cap

Yellow indicator light on dash of 560 sec

This is the emissions system warning light, commonly referred to as the "Check Engine" light.
Please read on.

The information below was complied by me, it explains what causes the check engine light to come on and the process of finding the cause.

When the Check Engine light (or Service Engine Soon) is turned on, the systems computer control unit (called the ECM) has sensed a fault in the electronic controls of the engine and/or the emission system. When this happens you will seldom feel the car engine run any different. There are about 50 possible system faults. To find out which one is causing a problem have the system scanned by a local shop with a MB compatible scan tool.

My ford c max engine warning light is on what going on

The information below was complied by me, it explains what causes the check engine light to come on and the process of finding the cause.

When the Check Engine light warning is turned on the computer control unit (called the PCM) has sensed a fault in the electronic controls of the engine and/or the emission system. When this happens you will seldom feel the car engine run any different. There are about 200 possible faults that turn the Check Engine light on, to know what has developed a problem you must have the system tested, this is called an OBD2 fault code test, Kragen and Autozone parts stores do this testing for free.

Yellow engine light has been on for 2 days but the car runs perfect. What could it be?

This is the Check Engine warning light (the light is required by law to be amber/yellow, it means that a problem or problems have been detected in the electronic engine control or the emission control system. this control system is called the OBD2 Electronic engine/emission control system. This system has over 200 possible faults that turn this warning light on, what needs to be done is to have the system scanned to see what fault codes are in the memory of the computer (called the PCM), it can be as easy as a defective or loose gas cap on up to Oxygen sensors failing, it is a long list, so the system scan is the very 1st thing that must be done to start the diagnosis.

Recurring emission warning light

Hi there, did they run an emissions check? If so what was the outcome?

It could be your catalytic converter has broken down inside and/or blown a hole through it. Does the exhaust note seem louder and brash?

It is not dangerous for driving, but it can be annoying having that light blink at you. Disconnect the negative battery lead for 20 minutes. This should reset the ECU and if the light pops back up then there could be a fault with the CAT sensor or the above fault with the CAT.

I don't think it is a reocurring problem, moreso the ECU is thinking that the emissions are out of sync. Does the car consume gas quickly? Does the car feel sluggish?

Reply back and I hope this might help a little (vote if you think it's helpful)

Check engine light on just after 100K

a check engine light has nothing to do with oil, it is a warning that some part of the engine or emission control system electronic control systems has developed a fault, have the system tested to determine what that fault is, there will be a fault code stored in the powertrain control modules memory
