Buy it from toyota.it does not cost anymore.
all the popular brands make warranty approved transmission fluid, which is what dextron2 and 3 is.
do not forget to cycle the power steering lock to lock to get the air out of the pump.

Kia optima 2008 how many quarts transmission fluid and what type

This info should be in your owners manual.
The 4 speed trans shows a total fill of 8 quarts and the 5 speed shows a total fill of 10 quarts. Just changing the filter should be half that amount for each transmission.
There are trans fluids for multi-brands of import cars, Dextron may also work.
Again, check your owners manual or look on the dipstick.

What kind of transmission fluid should i use

GM now recommends dextron 6 or VI in all automatic transmissions. It is a synthetic transmission fluid that was introduced in 2006.They no longer license or police the making of dextron 3 or III that was originally installed in your car. This is why you now find dextron III / Mercon because manufacturers are now combining the specs of both Ford and GM into one fluid.Dextron VI is compatible with all dextron II and dextron III fluids. It is more expensive because it is synthetic.Runs about $4-$6 a quart. You can still use dextron III but GM states you never know what you are getting.Well hope this helps.

What kind of oil should be used for automatic transmission?

For a 2003 auto tranny - use T-IV.
The dipstick has the marking as well as the owner's manual.

This is not a Mercon or Dextron.

Coolant type

Hi annstone105, a 50/50 premix is a good solution for you, there are many brands but for your reference STP 50/50 premix then you dont have to add water it is good to -37C and boil over @ 129C based on a good 15 psi rad cap. However just ask at your local automotive store or gas station and they will help you as it dosnt have to be STP. If you use a 50/50 product you should drain the old coolant and replace till full and test it for weather rating easy to do and any garage will test this at likely no charge to you. hope this helps you good luck :)
