Question about 1997 BMW 328
1997 328i with 87,000 miles--Today I turned the ignition switch off and pulled out the key but my engine kept on running. I reinserted the key but could not turn off the ignition. The key will turn if I play with it but wants to be in a locked position. I drove home and to stop the engine I pulled the fuse on the fuel pump and disconnected the negative ground on the battery. Is my problem the lock cylinder? Will replacing it solve the problem?
