With the key on and the engine off you should measure between 35 and 70 lbs fuel system pressure. this is true whether you have v6 or v8 gasoline engine.

Gas is not getting to the engine why?


When you say it works, Can you tell me what PRESSURE is getting to the Fuel Rail?

there should be a minimum of 40 PSI to the Rail.

If you have a Clogged Fuel Filter, it could also cause an issue.

Then the simple things.. Is there Fuel in the Tank?

Where is the fuel pressure regulator located on a 1988 ford lobo


is this a car or a truck? in all the Fords i have worked on the regulator is located at the end of the fuel supply rail that goes over the fuel injector inlets on the top of the engine, it has a vacuum hose goint to it. see picture below of typical Ford pressure reg.

5.4 triton. starts up rough 3 out of 5 times. did


I would check the fuel filter. They should be replaced every 20,000 miles. Also check the air filter. You could also do a fuel pressure check.

Gaspump does not go on


If I am correct, the ford p/u has a fuel pump relay that is susceptible to failure. Under the hood on the relay board.
