Question about 2008 Jeep Wrangler
I wanted to shift out of 4 wd low, and when I tried I found that the shifter that controls 4 high 4 low and 2 high just limply moved about. I limped my jeep to a service station and had it towed to the nearest dealer. It's a 2008 wrangler unlimited 4 door rubicon with less than 600 miles on it.
SOUNDS LIKE THE SHIFT LINKAGE HAS BECOME LOOSE. THE GOOD NEWS IS, THE WARRANTY IS STILL IN EFFECT. PERHAPS A DEFECTIVE PART IS THE CAUSE? IT IS TOUGH TO SAY THE EXACT REASON WHY THIS HAPPENED WITHOUT LOOKING AT IT FIRST HAND. SORRY FOR YOUR INCONVENIENCE. HOPE THEY SOLVE THIS MYSTERY SOON SO YOU CAN GET BACK ON THE ROAD, AND OFF ROAD TOO.
