Question about 1986 Plymouth Reliant 4 Door
I RECENTLY READ A POST WHERE A PERSON ASKED ABOUT USING A TIMING LIGHT TO TIME A RELIANT. THE RESPONSE WAS THAT YOU DO NOT USE A TIMING LIGHT TO SET THE TIMING ON A RELIANT; MY QUESTION IS IF A TIMING LIGHT IS NOT USED, WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE FOR SETTING THE TIMING? THANKS, -DWIGHTDAYMEN
The timing light is used only to see if you installed correctly, crank & cam have aero marks make sure when you align those aeros they stay on position when you tight the tension they might move so set it a little off counterclockwise so when you tight it it will come to the right position hope this helps you.
