Question about 1995 Chevrolet Camaro
1995 chevrolet camaro 3.4 pw pl, bose sound system with stock sub. t tops, auto trans, new alternator, 143k, says has cold ac, and that windows work but are slow, hes asking $2500
All depends on the shape of the body, engine and transmission. The 3.4 have a bad history of intake gasket being bad and leaking antifreeze in the crank case. Look at the strut mounts to see if there are rust forming and what condition is the brake lines and fuel line under the car in.
I have seen camaro's with the V8's going for as low as $4,500.00 pretty much loaded and clean inside around the same year and i have sean the V6's going for $1,000.00 clean in side and out.
If you are serious with this Camaro, look under the Oil Cap and look though the oil fill hole to see if it's clean or full of carbon, same goes with the PVC valve. See what condition it's in if the person did not change it already.
Start it up with the Oil cap off and see there is lot's of internal engine pressure which would mean there is warn piston rings or worn valve guilds. Take it for a test drive make sure you run all the gears up and down on the transmission and check the fluid when you get back.
Shut the engine and wait 10 min then start it up again and listen for piston slap which would indicate worn internal engine parts. It sounds like the valve lifters ticking but it's the piston, the pistons cool quicker then the block and will slap against the block till it expands again.
Good luck and hope this helps. keep me posted
