Diesel e300 very slow to accerlerate and no power - Injectors?

My 1995 e300 diesel is very slow to accelerate and has no power - could it be the injection system? Thanks Chris

It sounds like your vehicle is in "limp home mode" . Some vehicles have this feature that allows you to be able to return or get to a repair shop before damaging your vehicle further.
If your vehicle is a diesel you might want to check to see if your DEF (diesel emission fluid) tank is empty. If it not a diesel I would go to a repair shop or an Autozone and have them pull the fault codes to give you an idea what is going on with your vehicle.

I have a 1995 Ford F250 7.3 Diesel. When I get to a speed around 55 or greater, it will stop accelerating. please help

injectors, accelerator pump ...any number of things
Buy yourself a repair manual at an auto parts store and can probably figure it out quite easily.
Hinda hard to diagnose over the internet

cranking speed to slow--cannot generate enough compression heat to ignite fuel
faulty injector tips ---squirting and not atomizing--have an accredited diesel specialist shop recon the injectors
worn engine---compression pressure too low -- have a compression test done
if common rail diesel ---fuel pressure too low to work the injectors properly-- have an accredited diesel special shop test the pump pressure -- should be around 22.000 to 25.000 psi

Diesel loss of power

check and change the fuel filters including the water filter.. If you are using a bio diesel then don't. Check and bleed any air out of the pump and lines. check that the air valve on top of the tank is clean and allowing the tank to vent and not get a vacuum. Check for a moss like substance in the tank as it will seriously affect the diesel and injectors. Basically It sounds as if the pump is starving for fuel from a blockage or air in the system.

Black smoking and is not consistent acceleration and run away acceleration. It is a 6.5 turbo diesel chevy truck. 1995

could be injectors, could also be severe carbon build up. try using a good brand of diesel injector cleaner.

better chec the wiring or connections 1st--pull the plug from the pump and inspect for flaws and corrosion then plug back in--pump itself can be tested--the fuel injection pump in engine area may have issues

X type turbo diesel. When slowed to say 50mph on motorway in top gear, lacks power when asked to accelerate, then blows smoke, and clears! Intermittent fault.

use a fuel additive to clean fuel lines and injectors,redexe/wynns,one can to 1/2 tank fuel.then see if you need to do any other work.....
