I dont have the owners manual, I was hoping someone would know which fuse it would be for the stereo and cig lighter. Or I would just have to pull and check out each one.

Fuses are located usually in the glove box. typically 20 amp, maybe 25 amp. If you look in the owners manual index under fuses, it should tell you where and which one to replace. If not in glove box, look on the foot well of the drivers side, either to the drivers kick panel or just above it, there may be an access to fuses

It wont hurt to pull the fuses out and look at them. If you can see the fuses, typically the head of the fuse which is blown will be dark in the center as compaired to others. Again, it will not hurt to pull one at a time to look at. Atart with the high number fuses 20, 25A as they run the cig lighter usually

No power to stereo

This is supplied through a main fuse AM1, then a 15A fuse for the radio and cig lighter. So if the cig lighter works, it is not those faulty but likely the fuse in the radio. See here p10 for the location of these fuses.

Your Mazda definitely has a safety fuse controlling the cig. lighter...Review your manual for fuse block location...(sometimes more than one:) the fuse diagraham in the manual should help find the specific fuse...labeled cig. lighter...:) You may find some extra fuses in your glove box kit...if not, they are available at most Auto Parts stores...

Please help me with power in cig lighter

Hi, grab a voltmeter and test volts at car lighter connector, near to car lighter socket, if there is volts in there (uncommon) , then check for short or broken contact on car lighter socket, or replace the first socket connected in line.

If there is no voltage getting to cig lighter, check the two connections at the back of the fuse box, on the cigarette lighter fuse.

If there is volts only on one side, then fuse is gone again, in that case there is a short on wiring, maybe on one of lighters, locate it and fix it.

If there is power on both sides of the fuse, then fix or replace wiring between fuse box and cigarette lighter, one wire is broken.

If there is no power on both sides of lighter fuse, then fix the wiring between fuse box cig. lighter contact and battery, if this is too complicate you can even build a new wiring and solder in place of the old one.

If the lighters have more than one fuse, do the same job for both lighter. Cig. lighters do not use a relay, and there is no additional fuse, the above procedure is enough to fix any possible problem on such a simple device.

If you have no practice with this kind of repair on car electrical system, then better to go to a car electrician or mechanic rather then messing up the car electric system.

Please do not forget to leave us feedback afterward, that is important for us.

Many thanks.
