Question about 1996 Lincoln Continental
I have a 1996 Lincoln Continental. My problem is the engine shuts off, usually when going over bumps or making hard turns. The engine always comes back on when I restart it. The car has been back to the mechanic many times but he cannot pinpoint the problem nor can he reproduce it. He replaced some relay but the problem is still there. The 'Service Engine Light' is constantly on in the dashboard, but he says this wouldn't be causing the problem I am having. Said it has to do with some anti-pollution device failing.
Thank you for any help you can offer.
Or it could possibly be a bad connector in the engine compartment...sometimes just disconnecting and reconnecting can fix the problem

Check for a loose camshaft sensor or crank shaft sensor.
