Question about 1999 Ford Taurus
I have a 1999 ford taurus and it will start and run, but sometimes it will die and not start again for a while i have replaced the plugs, wires, ignition coil, fuel filter, and crankshaft sensor. also my low collant lite is on but it is full of coolant. what else could it be?
I had the same problem and dealt with it over a year no one could figure it out, after 3 mechanics looked at it, a mechanic fixed the fuel pump and it hasnt done it in 2 years...

The Idle Air Controller Valve is likely to be clogged. You can take it to the Ford Dealership to see if the duty cycle is at the proper % for idle and determine it there, and if it is the problem you can try cleaning it for a few bucks using electric parts cleaner or you can replace it. They are a bit pricey 100+ Dollars if the clean doesn't work.
Also fuel filter is a good thing to change if you haven't

Possible fuel pump- if the car is a flexfuel vehicle it could be the flexfuel sensor.
