Your timing marks must be off for the car not to idle. the timing belt is too tight, that is where the noise is coming from. rule of thumb is you should be able to twist the timing belt to just under 90 degrees on the longest section after the tensioner has tensioned and nut on pully it tightened. tensioners usually tension more than they need to.

Very often the power steering belt can cause this noise if it is loose or just worn. The pump itself can cause a noise check and make sure it is full of fluid.

2000 crv honda just got a new timing belt and water pump after a couple of days now it make a noise (loud clicking noise) when I start it up

The noise you describe may be due to hydraulic tappet leak back form a oil that is of the incorrect viscosity or a cheap oil filter that doe's not have an anti leak back valve in it .The noise is until the oil pressure builds up and makes the hydraulic tappets work properly.

Ok well 1 thing my car is making a loud howling noise I and also idles I was told it was to be the idle air control wonderin how true that is and 2 I have replaced the belt twice witin a month how is it...

The large pulley on the crankshaft (crank damper pulley) is
most likely worn & out of alignment, that is causing the belt
to rub on other pulleys & wear out

The howling & the idle, are most likely two separate issues

The AIC (air idle control valve) could need cleaning or replacement

A loud noise around the area of the timing belt cover at regular idle. Disappears when driving, then reappears when at idle again.

Dear SIr,
As you saying noise wont come in driving and only comes in idle , it means noise will not come if RPM is high by norma in idle l, try this one start the car don't drive it just raise RPM(rotation per minute of only engine not vehicle speed) in neutral gear , if noise disappear that mean it a problem of drive belt . If drive belt is got less tension then also it can occur or belt is damage, replace belt problem will solve, (for reference drive belt it drive alternator, powersteering pump,A/C compressor that is made by rubber). Thanks if any problem ask me.
Yogesh.

Sounds like your Hydraulic Timing Belt Tensioner, or could be the Idle Pullys. There's a kit available that includes all needed parts for around $150.00 depending on your location.

99 Chevy Malibu belt chirping noise problem.

one or more of the pulley's is defective, most likely the tensioner pulley, but check them all for wear and side to side movement which indicates a worn bearing, this causes the belt to not run true and chirp.
