Please I need your help locating the engine number on my 1997 Isuzu Rodeo LS V6 3.2L Model. Please explain fully the exact location. I know little or nothing about car engine parts. Thank you very much.

there are 2 choices.

For 1997 Isuzu Truck Rodeo 2WD 3.2L MFI SOHC 6cyl the OBD Diagnostic Link Connector is located: Front seating area, driver side, under dash, mounted above kick panel.

I had same problem with 99 Isuzu Rodeo LS 3.2 V6. Dealer couldn't find it and many, many other owners experienced same thing. finally found a post where a mechanic (non dealer) changed the idle air control valve. so i tried it, and after 3 years of dealing with the problem, it worked!!! part costs about $40 and very, very easy to change yourself. for the 99, its located in front of engine, so easy access. Good Luck
