Is there a way i can install the fog lights in myself i have the lights in but needing help wiring it in its buggging that **** out of me cause i dont know the wiring prossing
I would splice this in to an open fused area on your fuse block since all factory fog lights are on a separate circuit. The kit you bought should have a foglight relay with it also with instructions. If not buy the correct kit for your car instead of butchering up with cheap lamps on it

On some of the newer vehicles, after the install you may need to get the dealer to do a software update so the vehicle knows that there is now fog lights. it may not know they are there yet.
If your PU didn't come with factory installed fog lights then you will need to replace your headlight switch with a fog light enabled headlight switch.
Here is a link to the factory dealer-installed instructions.....
You only need to get the components you don't already have. The headlight switch that is fog enabled will pull out for fog light operation, if yous doesn't you need to replace the switch and do some wiring as shown in the pdf file linked above.
Fog lights on then work. One or the other out change, and the prosses of doing this is a good simple task for anyone. Go to the back of the fog light housing to see what has to be removed for access or not and replace.Hope this helps.
If the Check Engine light is coming on the computer is storing a code to let you know what the problem is. Have your computer scanned and you will probably find out what the problem is. The temperature gauge cannot work properly if the cooling system is leaking. The sending unit has to be in the coolant to work. If the coolant is low, the sending unit will not be in the coolant. If the coolant is leaking from around the radiator there has to be a radiator, radiator cap, or radiator hose leak.
why not get a auto-electric shop to do what you cant do.
why not?
you want us web bunnies to teach electrics in this text box?
really>?
I can, but wont. not now,
what is best is leave the cars, electrics alone.
dont hack stock parts.
better is a clean install of fogs
also some states have laws on how fogs work, (logic based on headlamps or parking lamps) so .... i cant guess your state.
a new fuse box or inline fuse
a new relay,
a new switch
and wire it all so it cant catch fire. (that fuse does that)
if you need a schematic for fogs, its generic
and can be found 1,million hits on google
You really should never touch the wiring harness on todays cars. Aftermarket electronics can not be trusted. If you want to install lights make your own circuit completely seperate from the factory wiring
Depends on how you want to have them come on. On a switch you just control you would have the switch control a relay that is supplying power for the fog lamps. If you want them on all of the time find and ignition wire to conrol the relay for the lights.
The common thing in both of these systems is a relay. You must put one in the system. The fog lamps will draw to much amperage for a toggle switch.
You likely have a pinched wire in your harness somewhere. Those cars are prewired for Fogs whether you have them or not. If the wiring is pinched with another wire that carries current, it will backfeed through the system illuminating the fog indicator light. That light does not normally have power with the key off, so knowing that it stays on with the key off, there is little other possibility other than a damaged section of wiring. Take it back to the repair shop quickly so you can have a insurance supplement claimed.
its not a bad job on a neon ,the fog light kit you will buy will come
with a switch and the relay and wiring for installing them, they also
came with a real good set of directions for doing this,if you need to
get someone to help you with doing this, sometimes running the wires is
tricky, but other than that the fog lights can be mounted in the same
place as the originals was,and they look good,i sold my 97 neon and i
had fog lights on it,they were after market but looked and worked
excellent, with a little work and time anyone can install a set on any
car,good luck.
The link below is a Typical fog lamp / driving lamp hookup. Keep in mind that in most states, for these lamps to be 'legal' (and thus pass inspection), you must wire them such that:
1. You can cut them off (in other words, there must be a switch installed to turn them off)
and
2. They may only be operated with the low beams. (therefore, you must power your on/off switch from the low beam circuit)
