Question about 1995 Chevrolet Camaro

1995 Camaro wont start

I was driving 1 night and the engine had gotten really hot. its a 95 LT1 350 with a throttle boddy. The Fan never went on. but i was driving up a hill and right when i got to the top i let off the gas and the engine slowly started to turn off . and it wouldnt start ever since then. i was 7000mi over from oil change so i put 2qts in. nothing. then sum fuel injection cleaner. still nothing. about 6 monthes ago i had the fuel pump replaced. and about 3 days ago i had to fix my rotors and was on my way back and was low on gas the hole drive back home so im assuming the fuel pump might have gone bad. if not idk what the problem is. and i need to have my z28 running within a week terribly bad.

You have several things going on here. I hope you checked before you added that oil and not just add it because of the mileage. Your fuel pump is most likely ok. You may need to change the fuel filter.
What is really important is to find why your engine was so hot in the first place.

You need the fan-find out why it is not coming on. I fear you may have done some major damage to your engine. If I were you, I'd find a good shop that is well equipped and highly recommended and go in for an estimate. A dealer will bankrupt you. But you need a really good shop. Hurry before you ruin what is left of your engine.

2002 lincoln. Ls v8.. burning smell?? Tried to run hot after 15min drive at a red light but when i took off went back to half way? Keeps running hot??

Engine is too hot which is burning oil and road dirt off the engine. Sounds like a bad thermostat or a water pump problem. The radiator may be partially blocked too.

Dashboard warning '; engine too hot stop car

The first thing I would do would be check the fluid level in the radiator. Sounds like the car is overheating under load due to lack of coolant. If the coolant level is ok then the radiator cap may be leaking pressure and causing the car to overheat.

1996_gmc_sierra Heat gauge started going from 260 degrees back to normal. I replaced heat sensor then thermostat. This summer had complete radiator and cap put in. The gauge says its running at 230 an

My Mountaineer had a similar problem. When driving it, the temp needle would slowly go up and up for like 3 minutes then it would come down within about 30 seconds. Then it would slowly rise again. just kept doing this over and over but it never went too high. My gauge didn't have numbers on it but it would go up about half way (not near the too hot level though) then fall back down to about a quarter of the way on the gauge. Found out that the fan clutch was bad on my radiator fan. It was not engaging and disengaging at the right times. New fan clutch solved the problem and probably saved the engine from overheating eventually if it had gotten even worse.

95 monte carlo 3.1 cooling fan comes on at 3/4 temp, when the coolant temp sensor is disconnected both fans run strongly until car is shut off, but when its connected only 1 fan will come on at 3/4 temp

to check both fans work at high temps put a sheet of card over the rad to block off airflow and run engine till hot, keeping an eye on when they both start (one is set at a lower temp than the other),if the second fan dont start when the engine is really hot THEN you have a problem.....

The engine 4M41 is overheating heating on hills

if you drive on hills at high rpm ur engine temp. will surely shoot up due to the load on ur engine while trying to gain the desired speed/ u should not drive uphill with high rpm try to maintain low speed with low rpm

Driving in very hot weather, stopped at light,

you may have blown the head gasket.
or
check the coolant level,is it low?
if it is ok,check the fan switch on the radiator, change the thermostat, and check that the fan is working.
the fan has to work, saab engines run very hot.
there is a after run fan switch as well that measures engine compartment temperature, and can start the fan even with the car off,so be careful.
