Question about 1999 Chevrolet Blazer
How big of a problem is it to take out the dash so I can replace the radio....just purchased an original replacement.......thanks!!
Its not too bad. i did the same thing in mine too. there are 2 screws you need to take out from the dash panel under the steering wheel. then there are 2 that you need to take out that you can see when you take that first panel off. take out the screw behind the wheel that is right above the gauges. turn the key on and foot on the brake, tilt the steering wheel down. pop the dash panel out and disconnect your headlight switch, 4wd switch(if applicable), and rear wiper switch. move the panel off to the side. then there should be 4 screws holding in your radio.

The dash panel is snapped into place and the radio is either bolted in or snaps in.The problem is the radio,if original equipment, has to be programed by the dealer or it will not work.GM and others have done this to discourage theft.
