Question about Infiniti J30

Looses power and keeps dying when started

My car wants to keep dying when it is first started. Then it will start running but will start loosing power then pick up and loose power again. We have had 4 places check it on the computer. It is reading Bank 1 & Bank 2 too lean on one of these and I forgot the other. It is the oxygen sensors showing these codes. We were told that we had a vacumn leak so we replaced the intake & plentium gaskets. Still didn't work so we put a Cam Timing Sensor in. Still doesn't work. Cleaned Mass Air Flow out and still doesn't work. Next they want to try a in line fuel filter but not sure if this will work. However, mechanic can not find where it is located and was told it is in with the fuel pump. Is this correct or does it have a separate fuel filter that is not part of the pump. When we call to get the part, I'm quoted a price separately. Do you have any other ideas of what this can be? Any help would be appreciated as now we are at trial & error and cost adding up.

if your car keeps cutting out is because you might have a loose connection to the battery. if your vehicle is running and it looses connection with battery it should still stay running. if it dies it means that you have a bad altenator.

Loss of power at 2400 rpm's

Check your mass airflow meter. If it's bad, at least on my 1990 300ZX, the car won't rev over 2400RPM (it's a safeguard built into the ECU of the car). Grab one from a scrapyard and swap it in and see if that fixes the issue.

Fuel pump

Check the ground circut. Don't Quote me on this one but that circut may run through the oil pressure sensor. It is a sefety feature in case of a roll over. If the engine dies or looses oil pressure it kills the pump so it does not keep pouring fuel on what could already be a bad situation.
